DIETHANOLAMINE

(DEA)

Diethanolamine (DEA) is an organic compound derived from ammonia, widely used in various chemical and petrochemical processes. It is a colorless liquid with an ammonia‑like odor, which is easily soluble in water and organic solvents. DEA is used as an amine reagent in the production of detergents, as well as a  catalyst and absorbent in the petrochemical industry.

DEA is also used as a neutralizing agent, in polymer production, and for the removal of carbon dioxide from gases in various industrial processes.

APPLICATION

GAS NEUTRALIZATION AND PURIFICATION

Used to remove carbon dioxide (CO) and hydrogen sulfide 2 2 (H S) from gases in petrochemical plants.

DETERGENT PRODUCTION

Applied in the manufacture of cleaning and washing agents due to its amine properties.

POLYMERIZATION CATALYST

Used as a catalyst in the production of certain types of polymers.

TEXTILE MANUFACTURING

Utilized in the chemical processing of textiles.

PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTION

Used in the pharmaceutical industry to synthesize specific chemicals and additives.

ADVANTAGES OF DEA

  • High Purity: The purity of diethanolamine is ≥99%, making it ideal for use in high‑quality production processes.

  • Chemical Stability: DEA has good thermal and chemical stability, making it suitable for use in various industrial processes, including gas purification and acid neutralization.

  • Versatility: It is widely used in industries such as petrochemicals, detergents, textile production, and pharmaceuticals.

  • Solubility: DEA is highly soluble in water and organic solvents, which makes it convenient for use in various solutions and products.
